Damn Tall Buildings from Brooklyn, NY, played high energy bluegrass in 2024.
The Puter House and owner, Dave Mulhern, is the proud proprietor and host of 6 house concerts a year. This one-of-a-kind Craftsman home in Eureka, CA, designed by legendary architects Hieneman & Hieneman and built in 1912 for Laurence Puter, a prominent Eureka lawyer. The home was lovingly restored by Mulhern over the good part of a decade. Concerts take place in the grand living room, with its vaulted, beamed ceiling, wide Inglenook and stunning primavera woodwork – perfect acoustics in an intimate setting for the variety of musicians who have played there.
A Residential Award for the house was bestowed by the Eureka Heritage Society in 2020. Location of the house is shared with concert goers who make a reservation. See Upcoming Shows for a list of shows in the coming months and links to reservation forms
Rounding out the house concert team are Dale Preston, artist bookings and sustenance, and Terry Uyeki, concert ticket reservations. Patrons pay cash at the door or Venmo.
